Harmony Choir’s on its summer break following last week’s session (28/7), returning to the usual venue/time on 8 September..

Meanwhile, some members have decided to organise a picnic on Thursday 11 August at Meanwood Valley Farm  in LS7. Sylvia will be at the Visitor centre (Epicentre) at 11am to meet people

There’ll be some food provided via the Real Junk Food Project (bring some food & drink contributions if you wish). And something for sitting down on the grass (There’s a cafe etc in case of wet weather..)

Choir member’s family, friends & children are welcome. Bus fares will be paid, for those in need

Directions (see link above for location map): Meanwood Valley Farm is just off Meanwood Road. If  coming from the city centre (a 10 minute journey) on the 51, 52 or 55 bus from upper Briggate, ask to get off at the cricket ground (Meanwood Road by Ridge Grove). Cross over the road and you’ll see signs to the Farm

Update

We’ve received this invite to the summer picnic for Asmarina voices and Friends of Lawnswood choir for Tuesday 9th August, 4-6pm(ish) at  St. John’s church in Leeds city centre (behind upper Briggate, opposite the Grand Theatre)  – it’ll be half hour of food and drink then about an hour to sing some songs and then more food/a drink afterwards. They’re asking people to bring any food donation if possible.

If you have any songs that you think are easy to get into it would be great if you/we taught them !

Please let frances.bernstein@ntlworld.com know if you are planning to come along
